As first reported on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” and on NBC News, The Great Task, a multi-candidate PAC sponsored by Congresswoman Liz Cheney, announced today that it is making a significant media buy in Arizona to air a new 30-second ad urging voters in the state to reject gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake and secretary of state candidate Mark Finchem.
The ad, entitled “Honor,” is part of an over $500,000 media buy and will air on broadcast, online, and streaming platforms across Arizona. Click here to watch the ad and see below for a transcript:
CONGRESSWOMAN LIZ CHENEY: “I don’t know that I have ever voted for a Democrat. But if I lived in Arizona, I absolutely would.
“You have a candidate for Governor, Kari Lake, you have a candidate for Secretary of State, Mark Finchem, both of whom have said that they will only honor the results of an election if they agree with it.
“And if you care about the survival of our Republic, we cannot give people power who will not honor elections.
“We must have elected officials who honor that responsibility.”
